HotSpot Management LLC (dba HotSpot Tax Services) was founded in 2002 in Denver, CO.  HotSpot has developed a powerful web-based tax compliance solution for vacation rental owners, property managers, hotel/motel operators and other travel related companies involved in booking rooms.  HotSpot founders have over a decade of first hand vacation rental experience, successfully renting their vacation property on 'by-owner' internet sites.  In 2003, HotSpot formed partnership relationships with VRBO.com, Cyberrentals.com, Greatrentals.com, A1Vacations.com and Rentors.org to provide additional homeowner services, including tax compliance. As those original partners were acquired by HomeAway over the years, HotSpot became the exclusive tax partner to HomeAway.

Today HotSpot files state and local sales/lodging taxes for thousands and thousands of vacation rental properties located in almost every state for owners, property managers, time-share operators and other travel related companies.  HotSpot facilitates tax filings and tax payments totaling tens of millions of dollars each year.  HotSpot’s continued growth is a testimony to the need for a simple, easy and affordable solution for vacation rental owners, property managers and hotel/motel operators to comply with these tax requirements.  In 2012, HotSpot launched www.hoteltax.com targeting the compliance needs of the hotel and motel industry.
